The related work done on this project provided some vivid point that can determine impressive bottling company performance, good quality control lab and protection of workers to avoid hazard in the industry. Among the major findings were the uses of statistical quality control in the industry. The statistical control in industry whether there is significant difference in taste and brix (sugar) mixing. The data was obtained from the quality control department and 7up bottling company production -manual volume one and the data was analyzed using quality control charts.

CHAPTER ONE

INTRODUCTION

One of the objectives of any organization is to maximize their profit. The quality of any product is most times what determines the level of their profit. This is to say that for any organization to maximize their profit their product must be of high quality, so as to be able to compete with other products in the market and at the same time satisfy its customers (Cole, 2019).

To achieve high level of quality product some quality control measure needs to be place in the production process of any organization.

It has been stated earlier that any organization that want to produce or provide services must aimed at doing it in a way it will acceptable by customers. As a result of this aim, quality control becomes necessary to any organization that wants to excel and remain in business (Cole, 2019).

In some industries, to ascertains any level of quality their services or product must pass through some measurement, inspection and testing frequently by people or with devices before sending the product to the market. Statistical analysis serves a means of obtaining maximium benefit out of any production and inspection at a low cost (Buzzell et ak., 2020).

Statistical analysis is one of the most useful economic applications of the theory of sampling and is very important to industries. Furthermore, the importance of quality control cannot be overemphasized whence it is clear that customers can only accept products whose quality is high. Also maximum attention should be given to quality controls system of any industry. In addition, among the numerous advantages of quality control in the industry include the following:

Quality control serves as means of providing quality information about a product or service.

Quality control serves a sure means of bringing improvement in product quality and productivity.

Quality control leads to improvement and less cost

Quality control leads to greater profit.

However, despite the numerous advantages of quality control there are some factors that can as well affect the implications of quality control such as:

Lack of trained personnel.

Insufficiency of quality raw materials

Lack of quality or useful statistical information.

Despite   all   these   advantages there are also problems associated with quality control which includes:

Absence of trained personnel.

Insufficiency of quality raw materials.

Inadequate records of statistical information.

However, when these factors are properly taken care of it will bring about great profit to the industry. This work is carryout to study the application of statistical quality control of FRIGOGLASS INDUSTRIES LIMITED. Frigoglass Industries Limited requires the use of statistical quality control techniques to attain wide market coverage and to satisfy the need of their customers.
