Wired communication networks are a traditional means of connecting devices and computers to form a network. These networks use physical cables or wires to transmit data and enable communication between devices.A wired network is a common type of wired configuration. Most wired networks use Ethernet cables to transfer data between connected PCs. In a small wired network, a single router may be used to connect all the computers. Larger networks often involve multiple routers or switches that connect to each other.The aim of this seminar is to study the application of wired network and its usefulness

1.0 Introduction
1.1 Background of the study
A wired network uses cables to connect devices, such as laptop or desktop computers, to the Internet or another network.
Wired communication refers to the transmission of data over a wire-based communication technology (telecommunication cables). Wired communication is also known as wireline communication. Examples include telephone networks, cable television or internet access, and fiber-optic communication. Most wired networks use Ethernet cables to transfer data between connected PCs. Also waveguide (electromagnetism), used for high-power applications, is considered wired line (Xue et al., 2011). Local telephone networks often form the basis for wired communications and are used by both residential and business customers in the area. Many networks today rely on the use of fiber optic communication technology as a means of providing clear signaling for both inbound and outbound transmissions and are replacing copper wire transmission (Xue et al., 2011). Fiber optic technology is capable of accommodating far more signals than copper wiring while still maintaining the integrity of the signal over longer distances.
In general, wired communications are considered to be the most stable of all types of communications services. They are relatively impervious to adverse weather conditions in comparison to wireless communication solutions (Poston et al., 2015). These characteristics have allowed wired communications to remain popular even as wireless solutions have continued to advance.
1.2 Aim and objectives of the study
The main aim of this work is to study the application of wired network and its usefulness. The objectives of the study are:
- To provide a detailed description of wired network
- To study the application of wired network
- To provide a summarized usefulness of a wired network
1.3 Scope of the study
The scope of this work covers the studying the description of wired network, its historical background, application of wired network, and a summarized usefulness of a wired network. A wired network connects devices to the internet or other networks by wires, such as ethernet cables or wall jacks. Having a wired network setup allows for the transfer of data or signals over physical wires, which use electrical or optical signals to promote data exchange between devices or systems. Configuring a wired network requires careful procedures such as running cables, installing sockets, patching, testing, and adding security measures to provide a reliable network (Chakravarthy et al., 2019).
